Turkish Airlines has announced major expansion of its flight services to Tanzania, starting in June 2025. The airline will significantly increase capacity across three key destinations:
- Kilimanjaro International Airport – from four to 14 weekly flights (twice daily).
- Zanzibar – increasing from nine to 14 weekly flights (twice daily).
- Dar es Salaam – rising from seven to 10 weekly flights.
The additional flights aim to enhance accessibility for international travellers and provide greater connectivity to Tanzania’s renowned destinations including the Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.
This move reflects Turkish Airlines’ confidence in Tanzania’s growing tourism sector and its appeal as a global destination. The Tanzania Association of Tour Operators has welcomed the expansion, highlighting its potential to boost visitor numbers, promote local businesses and support sustainable tourism.
