Robins Camp in Hwange National Park has reopened with a new look and more rooms.
All rooms have been refurbished and additional rooms have been built. The surrounding area has been upgraded, with all exotic plants removed, and public areas planted with lawn. A large swimming pool with sun loungers overlooks a pond and a waterhole in front of the camp.
Mike Sherren, Manager of the camp, said the venue now has 40 en-suite rooms with a total of 84 beds and 25 camping sites. There three types of accommodation – fully-inclusive includes accommodation, three meals, and two activities, a choice between a game drive or a guided walk; the self-drive option includes accommodation and meals; and the third option is camping.
Robins Camp is owned and run by the Bayete/Machaba group, and is owner-managed. It is 110km south of Victoria Falls in the northwestern section of Hwange National Park in an area known for its natural beauty, big herds of buffalo, and large population of lions.
The camp can be reached by a 25-minute flight from Victoria Falls to the airstrip which is only 200 metres away, or by a two-hour road transfer.
Children under the age of 16 years are not allowed.
