Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA) and Africa’s Eden have partnered with Air France-KLM – a key development in the promotion of Southern Africa as a global tourism destination.
The collaboration integrates Air France-KLM into a network of more than 1 500 tourism operators across South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia with plans to expand into Angola, Malawi, Mozambique and Madagascar this year.
According to SATSA’s Chief Operations Officer, Hannelie du Toit, the partnership aims to increase the visibility of Southern Africa’s tourism offerings through Air France-KLM’s global marketing platforms and campaigns.
Members of SATSA and Africa’s Eden will benefit from opportunities to showcase the region’s unique travel experiences while connecting with international buyers and media through initiatives such as familiarisation trips, events and industry workshops.
Air France-KLM’s involvement provides direct access to a focused network of tourism professionals. This affords opportunities for collaboration in solving key industry challenges and fostering connections with decision-makers within the Southern African tourism ecosystem.
For SATSA and Africa’s Eden members, the alliance offers an enhanced platform promoting the region’s travel experiences through Air France-KLM’s world-class global network aiming to increase tourism growth and foster sustainable development across the region.
Du Toit says this partnership represents a shared mission to strengthen Southern Africa’s tourism industry and position it as a premier destination for international travellers. Members are encouraged to participate in upcoming initiatives and leverage the global reach and connections facilitated by Air France-KLM.
Key highlights of the partnership:
- Network expansion – Air France-KLM is joining a network spanning Southern Africa with future regional growth potential.
- Global visibility – Southern Africa will enjoy greater exposure as a travel destination through Air France-KLM’s multi-channel promotional efforts.
- Industry support – Air France-KLM’s involvement in familiarisation trips and workshops will build valuable connections between local tourism operators and global markets.
