Air Mauritius cancelled its weekly service to Wuhan, China, in October after launching the route on August 11. In September, the airline also cancelled its operations to Bangkok which were scheduled to start on October 31.
According to Air Mauritius Sales and Marketing Manager: South Africa, Wouter Nel, the Wuhan service was cancelled due to route rationalisation.
The route was initially scheduled to launch in July, however was delayed until the following month.
Nel told Tourism Update that passengers with existing bookings will be rerouted on other carriers. Passengers and agents are advised to contact Air Mauritius for re-routing.
