Crowne Plaza –The Rosebank is soon to be rebranded as Southern Sun Rosebank, making the trendy suburb home to one of southern Africa’s most iconic hotel brands, Southern Sun.

The refurbishment of the hotel will include the reception and lobby areas, the Circle Bar, the Fresh Restaurant and the opening of The Grill Jichana – based on the highly acclaimed restaurant of the same name at Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani. The first phase of the refurbishment will be completed this month.

Further upgrades, including the suites, will be completed over the course of 2020/21 with minimal disturbance of hotel operations.

“This development will allow us to expand our footprint into the Rosebank node,” said Ravi Nadasen, Tsogo Sun Hotels COO, adding that the brand already owned the 54 on Bath property.

Rosebank is a favoured location among investors and travellers due to its mix of commercial, retail and entertainment offerings.

“The time is right for Southern Sun to add its name and well-earned reputation for excellence to the Rosebank landscape,” said Nadasen.
