Air Tanzania will start a scheduled weekly flight between Guangzhou, China, and Dar es Salaam on March 20.
MD of Air Tanzania, Ladislaus Matindi, said a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner would be used on the route, with flights departing Dar es Salaam on Saturdays and departing Guangzhou on Sundays.
"We will be flying weekly on Saturday at 05h00 to arrive around 21h00 (UTC+8) in China and fly back to Tanzania at 05h00,” he said.
The flight has opened for bookings.
Tanzania has strong trade ties with China and is also looking at growing tourism from the region.
