Tswalu strengthens leadership with executive appointments
Pietro Addis is the new General Manager of Tswalu Kalahari Reserve. Addis brings extensive experience from senior roles at luxury hospitality brands including Como, Aman and Mandarin Oriental across Europe, Asia and the Americas. He will oversee operations, trade partnerships and future renovations.
Marnus Scholly has been promoted to Head of Guest Experience. Since joining Tswalu in 2019 as Executive Chef, Scholly has championed sustainable food practices and helped establish the Go Ruta hospitality training academy. In his new role, he will integrate Tswalu’s regenerative hospitality approach into the guest experience.
Namibia Tourism Board appoints new CEO
The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) has appointed Sebulon Chicalu as its new CEO. Formerly Director of Tourism and Gaming in the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, he brings expertise in product innovation and development within the travel and tourism sectors.
His appointment follows the departure of Digu //Naobeb who served as NTB CEO since 2007. NTB operated with rotating senior managers in the interim.
Chicalu’s leadership is expected to drive tourism growth and strengthen Namibia’s position as a key destination in the region.
ATTA Events welcomes new Buyer Engagement Manager
ATTA Events has expanded its team with the appointment of Angie Fuller as Buyer Engagement Manager. Fuller, who has over 24 years of experience in the travel industry, has worked extensively in event management, supplier relations and training with focus on Southern Africa.
