As well as our Simbavati Brand relaunch, we’ve expanded our safari offering for the Simbavati Lodge Collection.

Simbavati Trails Camp

In a magnificent case of poor timing, Simbavati Trails Camp opened to guests in March 2020 and then promptly closed. Reopening last August, it has proved a big hit with South Africans. Now we want to showcase it to our returning international guests.

Simbavati Trails Camp is a luxury-yet-back-to-basics walking trails camp in the Timbavati Game Reserve. It’s all about guided walks with expert guides, one of the most stimulating and enthralling forms of safari. There is no electricity, WiFi or cellphone reception. Just you, in the heart of an untamed wildlife wonderland. Open March to October.

Educationals: We welcome tour operators to visit Simbavati Trails Camp, and our other lodges, so that you can see, hear, touch and taste the experience. We have an attractive educational rate for the trade.

Simbavati Camp George

Camp George, with eight luxury suites, opened in October 2020. It’s an oasis of tranquillity within the wilds of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, designed with couples and friends in mind. This elegant safari lodge is the perfect mix of authentic tradition with a modern twist. The convivial and art-filled living areas lead out to expansive terraces. Beyond lies the mature indigenous garden and waterhole.

Simbavati Amani

Simbavati Amani is a charming, intimate safari villa also in the Klaserie, perfect for couples or exclusive use. Though there are only four luxury suites within the homestead, a magnificent double-volume sitting room, mezzanine library area, interactive kitchen and bar mean there is generous space to relax.

The bridge over the dry river bed to Amani makes it feel as if you’re on a private island retreat, surrounded by wildlife. Warm evenings are spent socialising around the fire-pit, marvelling at the star-studded sky whilst animal calls echo through the darkness.

Simbavati Homestead

Finally the spacious Simbavati Homestead is our luxurious self-catered villa in the Klaserie. Five bedrooms sleeping ten make it perfect for a party of family or friends. It combines the intimacy and warmth of a holiday home, with the game experience of a traditional safari. There you can have the freedom of the African bush, but on your terms. Interiors are comfortable, contemporary and expansive, inviting you to totally relax, with an open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen for easy living.
