Responding to news that the KAZA region of southern Africa is lobbying for standardised testing rules for inbound travellers, owner of Centre Stage Travel, Colin Fryer, commented:
“The KAZA region encapsulates some of our top African attractions. Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, has been, and continues to be, one of the most-requested and -visited destinations in southern Africa.
“Add to this Chobe and the Okavango Delta, both in Botswana, and the perennial Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe and the offering for our inbound visitors is multi levelled. This Transfrontier Conservation Area was formed back in December 2006 with a pedigree to drive sustainable conservation on the back of responsible tourism.
“As our inbound visitors find their travel toes, then their feet [which eventually starts to] flow into their heart and soul, they desire to return to African routes, surely the regulatory bodies (ZTA, BTO, NTB) are aware of just how important it is to reflect a singular, simple and welcoming message to those who would wish to drive our inbound business?
“If not and these 'responsible' entities stumble, mumble and reflect inconclusive clarity on inbound regulations, other African safari, wilderness and East African destinations will take and retain our flow of inbound visitors.”
