This year’s WTM Africa, hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), ended yesterday (April 5), and Rudi Wagenaar, Owner of On Demand Hospitality Solutions, told Tourism Update that “the vibe at WTM Africa was great and that it was very well put together”.
According to RX Africa, WTM Africa 2023 was back to pre-pandemic numbers with over 5 000 registrations, almost 600 exhibitors, 49 new countries, 200 expert speakers, and over 80 hours of content sessions.
The event saw new partnerships being formed, while the Department of Tourism provided funding for 30 small- to medium-sized enterprises to showcase their tourism offerings and products at the exhibition.
