A new luxury guesthouse, 1945 On Kloof, in Johannesburg’s Observatory suburb, announced its grand opening yesterday (October 5).
The restored guesthouse has eight suites with various room types. They include a multi-functional suite, specifically designed to prioritise comfort and accessibility for guests with disabilities.
The wheelchair-friendly suite offers additional space and a private furnished area outside. The bathroom is equipped with handles, specifically designed to assist wheelchair users.
Guests can enjoy a breakfast that caters for a variety of dietary preferences. A lunch and dinner menu are also available. The guesthouse is in the process of its liquor licence application and will soon offer a range of alcoholic beverages.
A range of event hosting services cater for work functions and year-end celebrations, to baby showers and bridal showers.
There is ample parking, a spacious pool area with comfortable loungers, and braai facilities.
"We are absolutely thrilled to open our doors and welcome guests to 1945 On Kloof. Named after the year my late father was born, my vision for this guesthouse has always been to offer a haven that captures the essence of timeless elegance," said Paulo Estrela, one of the owners of 1945 On Kloof. “We invite travellers and event organisers to step into our world and experience the perfect blend of hospitality and charm the guesthouse offers.”
