South African Tourism has appointed Talib Sadik as Chief Financial Officer and Siya Mthethwa as Chief Strategy Officer.
Sadik, a chartered accountant with over 30 years of experience, brings a wealth of financial knowledge to his role as CFO. His track record includes contributions to organisations in the public and private sectors.
“The Board of South African Tourism recognises the critical role of key executive appointments in driving the entity's strategy credibility. Sadik's expertise will play a pivotal role in providing strategic and oversight support to the CEO in the key areas of Financial and Budgetary Management, Supply Chain and Asset Management, thus contributing to ensuring effective and prudent financial management and adherence to regulatory standards,” said Makhosazana Khanyile, South African Tourism Board Chairperson.
Mthethwa has over 20 years of experience in consulting, financial services, public sector, and tech startups.
He will play a crucial role in contributing to position South African Tourism as an industry leader through the management and oversight of all research, insights, analytics and innovation campaigns and activities. His role will also contribute to evaluating the performance of the organisation against set targets and objectives.

New Hospitality Executive for African Sun Limited
African Sun Limited, a leading hotel operations company in Zimbabwe, appointed Nikki Cornish as Hospitality Executive with effect from March 1.
Born and raised in Harare, Cornish has diverse knowledge and experience within many different aspects of the hospitality industry, from operational management of restaurants and large scale events, GM positions in luxury boutique hotels as well as pre-opening and project management of large food and beverage projects and properties.
Her international postings have taken her to the Americas, Asia and various countries within southern Africa.
Cornish has decided to return to Zimbabwe to be closer to family and friends and to share her global hospitality knowledge and experience in her home country.
