After an extensive refurbishment, Radisson Blu Waterfront Cape Town has rebranded as the first South African hotel under the global hotel group’s luxury lifestyle portfolio, Radisson Collection.
Radisson Collection Hotel, Waterfront Cape Town, features 175 rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies overlooking either the ocean or the marina. In line with the Radisson Collection’s design philosophy, which ensures each property reflects local cultural and natural heritage, the hotel’s design takes inspiration from the Atlantic Ocean, Table Mountain, the winelands and the fynbos plant kingdom.
“We are delighted to introduce the Radisson Collection brand to South Africa with this remarkable property in Cape Town – a city renowned for its natural beauty, history and cultural vibrancy,” said Tim Cordon, Radisson Hotel Group Chief Operating Officer: Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia-Pacific.
“By transforming the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront through an extensive refurbishment, we’ve elevated this beloved landmark into a destination that captures the very essence of Cape Town.”
The property has introduced the Waveside Café – a luxurious deli and coffee shop experience – alongside the Tobago restaurant, bar and terrace set for refurbishment and dining elevation in July 2025.
Additional facilities at the hotel include an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a 24-hour fitness centre and the Amani Spa and Wellness Centre as well as an art gallery featuring curated pieces showcasing local fashion and architecture.
The property features three event rooms that can be combined to accommodate up to 350 guests.
“With every detail thoughtfully curated, from our luxurious rooms to our world-class dining and rejuvenating wellness experience, we are committed to offering an elevated experience that surpasses expectations,” said the hotel’s General Manager Clinton Thom.
