Registrations for the 2020 Nedbank Tour de Tuli mountain bike adventure are now open.
The event will follow a similar route to the 2019 event and the dates have been confirmed for July 21 to 26.
The Nedbank Tour de Tuli is a four-day adventure, with riders traversing wilderness areas in South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe that contribute to the Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area.
The tour offers participants an opportunity to ride with a purpose and raise funds for Children in the Wilderness (CITW), whose programme is helping to educate and inspire the next generation of African environmentalists and ecologically conscious leaders.
Exact route details are still being finalised, but riders can look forward to moments such as negotiating sandstone ridges, navigating mopane woodlands, and crossing dry riverbeds. The tour will include following single track and elephant trails.
The 2020 tour will be CITW’s 15th mountain bike fundraising event. Riders will receive tented accommodation, hot showers and catering.
Riders are urged to register soon to take advantage of minimum entry donations. Any group of 12 riders which registers will be eligible for one additional free space on the tour.
