French hospitality group, Accor, has opened its second hotel in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Novotel Lubumbashi. Located in the commercial and industrial centre of Lubumbashi, the 120-room hotel offers three dining options, a rooftop pool bar, and modern accommodation.
The hotel, situated in the fast-growing Golf residential area, provides stunning views of Lake Kipopo and is just a 20-minute drive from Luano International Airport. Novotel Lubumbashi features standard, executive, and suite rooms, all with contemporary design by METRO, and adaptable spaces.
Guests can enjoy dining at three unique venues: Chai, a vibrant café offering imported and local teas; Brasserie Kipopo, an all-day restaurant with American and local cuisine; and Xpressions, a South African-inspired lounge bar with Amapiano music and creative cocktails.
For business travellers, the hotel offers meeting rooms with ALL CONNECT technology, a state-of-the-art gym, and a pool with views of Lubumbashi and Lake Kipopo.
Willy Walter Youbessi, General Manager of Novotel Lubumbashi, said he is excited to craft memorable guest experiences. "Our hotel sets a new standard in Lubumbashi with its exceptional services. We eagerly look forward to welcoming both local and international guests to our contemporary, inviting, and family-friendly atmosphere," he affirms.
Paul Stevens, Chief Operating Officer, for Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy Division, Middle East, Africa & Turkey added: “We are excited to introduce the second Novotel destination in the Democratic Republic of Congo reaffirming Accor’s contribution to the growth of the hospitality and tourism industries across Africa.”
