AIR Seychelles has increased its frequency between Johannesburg and Mahé with an additional flight, from March 26. This brings to the number of frequencies between the two destinations to three.

Air Seychelles reported a nett profit of US$1 million (R9m) for the 2012 financial year. The positive result comes 12 months after Etihad Airways acquired a 40% stake in the airline and was awarded a five-year management contract. The profit follows three years of significant losses.
