Exhibition space is still available under the South African Tourism pavilion at ITB 2025 to be held at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from March 4-6.
Since 1966, ITB Berlin has been hailed as the largest travel trade show in the world. This year, it attracted190 countries, 100 000 attendees, 5 600 exhibitors, 1 300 Buyers’ Circle members and 24 000 convention delegates.
South Africa Tourism led a delegation of 63 tourism and product providers including 15 small, medium and micro enterprises.
A spokesperson for the South African National Convention Bureau (SANCB) said: “South African Tourism values collaborations and partnership. Through our participation at various tradeshows, we aim to create inclusive market access for the tourism sector.
“Furthermore, these trade shows are platforms that foster relationships with global partners and secure business opportunities. In driving this, we would like the opportunity to work with the tourism trade as we all strive to grow tourist arrivals in our country.
“As we plan our collective presence at the trade show, we would like to collaborate with you to share ideas, knowledge and insights, ensuring an optimal and synergistic representation of South Africa at ITB Berlin 2025.”
Acknowledging the increasing cost of participating in international trade shows due to inflation, South African Tourism will continue to subsidise the participation fee for interested tourism industry businesses.
“This initiative is part of our efforts to ensure complete and inclusive recovery of the tourism sector by enabling our partners to showcase their offerings to global audiences,” said the SANCB spokesperson.
