Chinese multinational group, Touchroad International Holdings, has announced plans to build a number of hotels in Zimbabwe.
This was announced by the group’s Chairman, Dr He Liehui, who said hotels will be built in Harare and Victoria Falls, but going forward the group will also explore building in other regions across the country.
Plans are still under negotiation between Touchroad and the Zimbabwean government, on how to implement the project. The Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry has already allowed the multinational group to scout land for development.
Liehui also said the group plans to grow Chinese tourist arrivals in Zimbabwe, and wants people to know that there are many beautiful places in Zimbabwe that they can visit to explore the history and culture of the country. Touchroad had also announced earlier that it will bring 350 Chinese tourists to Zimbabwe through a project in which they recently partnered with Ethiopian Airlines.
