Despite the rebound in international tourism arrivals, Tourism Update readers will still be looking to the domestic market to buoy their tourism businesses during the second half of 2022, according to the results of our latest poll.
63% of respondents said they would be placing equal or more importance on the domestic market than they did last year, when travel bans severely impacted international arrivals. The remaining 38% said they would be relying less on the domestic market as international tourists started streaming in for the peak season.
Is crime still an issue on KNP roads?
National and provincial tourism officials and local tourism organisations have been focusing on eliminating incidents of crime against tourists and tourism establishments on the roads around the Kruger National Park. The deployment of a task force earlier this year has reportedly greatly reduced incidents on the Numbi Gate Road. We want to know whether you have noticed a difference in security around Kruger.
