FEDHASA has partnered with booking and technology company Profitroom to provide a platform for the association’s members to streamline operations, enhance guest experiences and drive revenue.
Lee-Anne Singer, FEDHASA Cape Chairperson said: “This agreement with Profitroom, FEDHASA and, in turn, our members, will be able to share content, vacancies and news about special events and news in the hospitality industry, which we will encourage at every opportunity. It’s a fantastic way to support Profitroom, raise awareness of FEDHASA’s role in the industry – and give much-needed media exposure to important issues, challenges, and opportunities.”
Members can, for example, invest in a 360-degree booking engine and its associated functions to further leverage their relationship with Profitroom. While a good booking engine may not solve all a hotel’s problems, it can go a long way to ensuring that it remains competitive in the market.

The hotel and hospitality sector continues to show signs of resilience and growth, with positive prospects ahead. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, by 2032 South Africa’s travel and tourism sector is expected to create more than 800 000 jobs and contribute more than R500 billion (€24bn) to the economy.
