French company LVMH Hotel Management is bringing its ultra-luxury Cheval Blanc Maison brand to Africa, with the opening of a tropical retreat in the Seychelles slated for the end of the year.
The Cheval Blanc Maison Seychelles – currently under construction on Anse Intendance beach on Mahé – will offer 52 villas spanning from 220sqm to 1 950sqm, each with a private swimming pool, and beachfront, hillside, or tropical jungle views.
This will be the sixth property in the Cheval Blanc Maison portfolio, adding to properties in Paris, St Tropez and Courchevel in France, the French island territory of St Barth in the Caribbean and Ranheli in the Maldives.
The Seychelles property has been designed by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, with artworks in each villa crafted by Madagascan artist Joël Andrianomearisoa.
A selection of Guerlain-branded wellness experiences will be offered at Spa Cheval Blanc, and a pool, fitness centre, surf simulator, and two tennis and padel courts, as well as a range of curated experiences are on offer.
Families are welcome, with a dedicated kids’ club available.
The resort will feature five restaurants: Mizumi, the Asian lakeside restaurant; Vivamento, an Italian eatery by the pool; Sula, a Mediterranean beach club overlooking the ocean, and two signature French-inspired venues, Le 1947 and Le White.
