Members of the German trade attending the ITB tradeshow in Berlin this week were treated to a taste of South Africa’s market scene at a networking function on Wednesday night, organised by the SA Tourism office in Germany.
The venue in Berlin was dressed up as the Neighbourgoods Markets in Cape Town and downtown Johannesburg and guests were able to sample food from the stalls at the market.
[AdZone][AdZoneGiant] Members of the trade included representatives from TUI, Thomas Cook, FTI and Gebeco as well as many other small operators.
Addressing the trade, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Tokozile Xasa, thanked the trade for their role in growing SA’s tourism industry. “You are doing great work to promote destination South Africa.”
