Whilst the scare of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has taken the world by surprise, we trust that through mutual collaboration we can work through these trying times.
We have put the following measures in place to ensure that our guests feel secure whilst traveling with us: -
• All ILIOS Travel offices are equipped with hand sanitizer for staff use prior to departure and upon return
• All field staff (nationwide) will be equipped with hand sanitizer readily available to guests
• Vehicle cleaning routines include the usage of antiseptic chemicals
• All field staff have been issued with the ILIOS Travel COVID-19 Preparedness Plan and COVID-19 Contingency Policy which includes:
o Managing COVID-19 risk when meeting guests
o Preventative measures against COVID-19
o Reporting plan of any possible COVID-19 cases
Whilst there is currently no advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) or any government advisory body to restrict travel to South Africa (or the African continent), we remain sympathetic to our forthcoming visitors who are weary of travel during this time. We will, therefore, exercise flexibility around booking and cancellation terms. Please find below a summary of our conditional policies. These policies will be in place until 31 July 2020, however, they may be reviewed at any time with notification.
Cancellations
• All services subject to third party suppliers will incur cancellation costs in line with the suppliers’ policies.
• This includes all overland and day tour programs (scheduled and private) as well as transfer and charter services with booked third party supplements and accommodation.
• All cancellations received within the contingency period will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee only.
Postponement
ILIOS Travel shall not charge any cancellation fees (excluding third party services) in the event that clients request postponement of their booked services within 12 months of the original arrival date (up and until the 31 July 2021). Furthermore, we will honor the confirmed 2020 rates applicable to current booked services. Any postponed bookings cancelled at a later stage or deferred beyond 12 months will be subject to a 25% administration fee and standard 2021 rates will apply.
New Bookings
Any new bookings for travel up and until the 31 July 2020 will be subject to a more flexible cancellation policy, of a full refund in the event of a cancellation up to 7 days prior to the arrival date.
