International SOS has launched a new, free Ebola app for mobile devices. The app is designed to share the group’s medical and travel information on Ebola, and is maintained and reviewed 24/7 by medical and security professionals.
It is now available for download on iOS and Android devices and will provide instant online access to key sections of International SOS’s dedicated Ebola website.
“The ongoing Ebola outbreak has become a global health emergency where rapid communication of advice and information is absolutely critical. We know people want up-to-date, accurate information as quickly as possible. They want it from a trusted source. And in today’s multimedia world they want it in their hands wherever they are. We designed this app to try and help meet that demand,” says Doug Quarry, Medical Director for Information and Analysis at International SOS.
The app includes:
• The latest news and developments on the Ebola outbreak
• Maps of the affected areas
• Key sections available for offline viewing
• Content automatically updated
• Video: Ebola – what business travellers need to know
• Push notifications
• Live International SOS Twitter feed
