Kenya Airways (KQ) has signed a codeshare deal with Delta Air Lines, effective August 15. The deal sees Delta place its code on key Kenya Airways routes in Europe and Africa.
Delta’s code is now placed on KQ’s flights from Amsterdam, Paris, London and Accra to Nairobi, creating seamless travel for passengers flying from the US to Kenya via Europe.
Delta’s code also appears on flights out of Nairobi to key African destinations including Addis Ababa, Lilongwe, Maputo and Johannesburg.
Corneel Koster, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, said: “This new partnership with Kenya Airways will give customers even greater choice for travel between the continents thanks to Kenya Airways’ extensive network beyond Nairobi.” Vincent Coste, Kenya Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer hopes the deal will bring benefits to both its customers and its business.
As both airlines belong to the SkyTeam alliance, frequent flyers can earn and redeem miles on both airlines, while Elite Plus travellers benefit from SkyPriority services.
