Safarilink and AirKenya have informed the public that, for safety reasons, service has been suspended on all flights into and out of Mara North Airstrip in Kenya, effective October 30, due to the airstrip’s unserviceable condition.
“We regret the short notice, beyond our control and hope to resume operations into Mara North Airstrip as soon as we are notified the repair work has been completed,” read a statement issued by Safarilink.
The statement further read: “Please urgently let us know the alternative airstrip for your clients booked to/from Mara North Airstrip.”
In a statement, AirKenya said: “If you are holding bookings to Mara North, kindly amend drop/pick up to an alternative airstrip, for example Ngerende or other.”
