The Am Weinberg Boutique Hotel in Windhoek, Namibia, will officially open its doors on October 18.

The 41-bedroom hotel wraps around a heritage building, creating an inviting courtyard. The design complements its historic character, while modern amenities ensure comfort, exclusivity and privacy.

Room configurations include 12 Courtyard Fountain Level rooms each with a terrace; 15 Courtyard Upper Level rooms with a balcony overlooking the courtyard; four Courtyard View rooms with either a mountain or city view; five Oasis Lofts that feature a kitchenette, lounge and loft bedroom; and five Family Lofts fitted with a sleeper sofa in the lounge for children.
Each type of accommodation sleeps two, and the Family Loft accommodates four guests.
Rooms feature a satellite television, complimentary WiFi, coffee- and tea-making facilities, lounge seating (Loft), bath (Family Loft), shower, flat-screen television, room service, electronic safe, mini bar, air-conditioning, work and dressing table, and shower amenities.
It is set in the Am Weinberg Estate in Klein Windhoek and guests have access to facilities including the Estate’s Soulstice Day Spa, two upmarket restaurants and the Conference Centre, which boasts two rooms with a capacity of 100 delegates each, and a rooftop venue accommodating 40 delegates. The hotel also offers full wedding services.
In addition, there is a Sky Bar Lounge, all-day-dining restaurant, a library, as well as a Wine Bar and Lounge.
Activities include birding and walking trails, a wildlife sanctuary, mountain biking, a Khoi San night walk, onsite pool, museums, hiking and nature reserves.
“It is also a perfect luxury stopover enroute to the various safari and desert lodges in Namibia which are ideal adventure traveller destinations,” adds Munro. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Hosea Kutako International Airport, three hours and 50 minutes from Swakopmund, four hours and 30 minutes from Etosha National Park, and four hours 40 minutes from Sesriem.
The hotel was previously scheduled to open in July.
