The exclusive Victoria Falls Safari Club in Zimbabwe has announced the completion of a US$600 000 (€505 420) redevelopment that will see an even more enhanced guest experience.
“The motivation for the improvements to Victoria Falls Safari Club, a luxury boutique hotel, located on the same estate as Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, was driven by observations and feedback from the travel trade that the Safari Club was not a complete product,” says Africa Albida Tourism’s CEO, Ross Kennedy. “The US$600,000 process, which included the addition of a swimming pool and new restaurant, was completed in late March and has prompted a great deal of positive feedback and strong forward bookings for the remainder of 2018 and throughout 2019.”
Further additions include a sundeck and gazebo, and expansion and upgrade of its central building which doubles the size of the existing deck and increases the lounge space. The expansion also gives the new restaurant a dedicated kitchen, with renowned chef, Mark Rimmel, at the helm. Rock gardens are also under development, along with indigenous bushes to ensure guest privacy around the swimming pool area. It overlooks a waterhole that is frequented by kudu, warthog, bushbuck and various bird species.
The Club caters for up to 40 guests in 16 luxury Club rooms that are 50% to 60% bigger than those in the other properties. A premier on-demand butler concierge service ensures guests receive attention and service whenever they need it. Each deckchair at the pool deck even has an individual buzzer to call the butler. “We have put our butlers through a strict professional training regime to equip them to look after guests, with the highest levels of attention and discretion,” says Kennedy.
“What has been achieved in the last few months has positioned the Safari Club very clearly as one of Victoria Falls’ premium accommodation choices.”
