Malawian carrier Ulendo Airlink has opened ticket sales for its third domestic route operating from its base Lilongwe’s Kamuzu International Airport to Chileka International Airport in Blantyre.
The flights will commence from September 24 using a Dornier 228 aircraft. Operating schedules have been planned to cut transfer times for international passengers through Lilongwe. The new service allows passengers to connect to Ulendo Airlink’s Norther Malawi schedules from Lilongwe to Likoma Island and Mzuzu, as well as onto South African Airways, Kenya Airways, and Ethiopian Airline services.

Ticket sales have opened through Ulendo Airlink’s website. A partnership with Hahn Air allows international travel agents to book the flights using their preferred Global Distribution System, and make use of Iata’s Billing Settlement Plan to facilitate ticketing.

It is our hope that we can obtain the necessary approvals from regional aviation authorities to commence services between Lilongwe and Tete in Mozambique and formalise schedules to Mfuwe, Zambia in the coming year.”
