After making a booking for a client on a local airline, the passenger kept calling me to ask all sorts of questions as she had not flown for a while and was very nervous regarding airline procedure.
In her last phone call she asked if she would be allowed to wear an underwire bra when passing through airport security and what the consequences were for doing so.
To this, I reassured her that all would be OK and that it was standard practice for customers to take off their belts, jackets, sunglasses etc… as well as their bras, which she would have to slip off and place in the tray to be X-rayed. She would then be able to refit her bra on the other side.
Thanks goodness she had a little sense of humour…
