After a successful launch at the end of 2016, new safari collection Natural Selection is looking ahead to 2018. Co-founder Dave van Smeerdijk says, ‘’We are thrilled with the feedback we have received on Natural Selection so far and want to thank our friends and trade partners for their support during our launch, particularly of our newest camp, Sable Alley.’’
A new website will launch shortly which will showcase all of Natural Selection’s properties. 2018 will see exciting new developments with the opening of Tuludi Camp in the Khwai Private Reserve, as well as Natural Selection expanding its footprint into Namibia with projects in Hoanib, Nkasa Rupara and the Etosha area.
Furthermore Natural Slelection’s South African projects will also open in 2018. A new luxury De Hoop experience will comprise of two boutique lodges which guests will walk between thus offering a high-end two night walking trail experience. Furthermore Gwe Gwe Lodge in Mkhambathi on the Wild Coast will open towards the end of 2018.
Co-founder and director of the Natural Selection Trust, Dr Jennifer Lalley, explains the motivation for the new developments, ‘’we believe tourism can be a force for good and we want to expand into marginal areas where we can make a difference to both the communities and the eco-system’’.
