The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the opening of the 122-room Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands, located at the foot of Table Mountain. 
“We are delighted to bring another flagship to Africa by opening the Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands. We are now proudly featuring a portfolio of seven hotels with 1 400 rooms in operation in South Africa, signalling our firm commitment to growth on the African continent,” said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President and CEO of the Rezidor Hotel Group. 
The hotel offers high-speed WiFi, a self-service kiosk for late-night snacks, a fully equipped gym and ‘live-inn’ room comprising a modern bar, all-day restaurant, alfresco terrace and outdoor swimming pool.
The opening of Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands brings a new Smart Meeting and Events hospitality concept to South Africa. “We are offering consistent connection, choice and community to modern business functions. Smart Meetings and Events are designed to deliver the right type of smart food, drinks, event spaces and technology to support our guests' life and work styles,” said GM, Clinton Thom.
The high-tech conference rooms can host up to 163 delegates and are equipped with all modern conferencing equipment. The facility also features a chalk board wall for group brainstorming sessions. 
Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands has partnered with the Deaf Federation of South Africa (DEAFSA). The hotel has a huge emphasis on accessibility. It offers five wheelchair-friendly rooms and a series of ramps. Some 30% of the hotel staff are deaf and serve in both back and front of house roles.
