Safari Skies, a new air transfer service, recently announced its official launch and opened reservations for the first departure on its Cape Town to Madikwe route from May 26 next year. It will debut with three routes:
- Cape Town to Madikwe Game Reserve in the North West province three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (return) and Saturdays
- Cape Town to Kwandwe Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape twice per week on Tuesdays and Fridays
- Madikwe Game Reserve to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport once a week on Wednesdays.
Safari Skies offers direct, scheduled flights from its lounge at Cape Town International Airport, eliminating long road journeys and layovers. Passengers can transition from city to safari as departures are set and scheduled on the basis of a minimum two-seat policy. The journey starts at Cape Town International Airport’s Signature Aviation private hangar. Guests arriving off international or domestic flights will be collected at the respective arrivals hall and transported to the Signature Aviation hangar.
“We’ve designed Safari Skies to offer a seamless travel experience from Cape Town – a previously under-serviced route for direct connections in the safari lodge circuit – from the moment our passengers arrive at our luxury lounge to the time they arrive at their lodge,” says Grant Pienaar, CEO and Co-Founder of Safari Skies. “We understand that safari travel is about more than just the destination; it’s about the entire journey. Our team is committed to ensuring that travellers arrive refreshed and ready to embark on their African adventure.”
The team behind Safaris Skies brings experience and knowledge in the aviation, engineering and hospitality marketing spheres. Future plans include new flight routes to additional safari destinations in South Africa as well as expansion to other Southern African regions.
