Premier Coaches & Tours has acquired a new fleet of next-generation touring coaches, catering for the budget and luxury travel markets.
The F9 and F11 Yutong Luxury coaches offer 35 and 47 seats respectively, upholstered in leather or material. All coaches come equipped with double compressor air-conditioning, AV system, microphone, curtains, parcel racks, luggage bins and large panoramic windows, and are ideally for gravel road travel, especially in Namibia.
“Yutong front-engine coaches are the workhorses in the industry that can operate under harsh conditions,” says Fanie van Zyl, MD of Premier Coaches & Tours.
The Yutong R9 rear engine full luxury coach is a 28- to 32-seat touring vehicle with on-board toilet and with all the features of the F9 and F11 coaches. This coach model caters for the higher-end luxury touring market.
The seats on all three coach models are fully reclinable with side-shift options, allowing for complete comfort on long-haul tours.
Van Zyl adds that the company is filling a gap in the Eastern Cape coach charter market. “With only two large tour coach operators in Port Elizabeth, it’s often a challenge to find luxury vehicle and coaches at competitive prices, which is where Premier Coaches & Tours is meeting demand. Port Elizabeth is the start and end point for many popular coach tours to Eastern Cape game reserves like the Addo Elephant Park, the Kariega Game Reserve as well as to the Camdeboo National Park with its Valley of Desolation near Graaff Reinet.”
He says the lower operating costs of the new coaches mean Premier Coaches & Tours can offer luxury touring coaches at very affordable rates. A satellite depot has recently been opened in Mossel Bay to serve the Eastern Cape market.
