The Explorers Little Mongena Tented Camp has opened in the malaria-free Dinokeng Game Reserve in South Africa’s Gauteng province.
The camp is situated on the banks of a 28-hectare dam, with free-roaming wildlife including hippos, crocodiles, birdlife and the Big Five.
Accommodation is in luxury tents that feature an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, tea/coffee facility, mini-safes and a patio. The main area includes a lounge area, bar, dining area and an open-air boma.
Daily safari activities consist of early-morning, afternoon and evening game drives in a custom 10-seat game vehicle around the 8 000-hectare private concession.
The reserve is a 30-minute drive from Pretoria and 90 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport.
