Thompsons Africa to unveil new itineraries
Thompsons Africa will introduce new itineraries for 2016.
The ‘Regal Mpumalanga & Wildlife Adventure’ is a five-day tour beginning and ending in Johannesburg. It will include a visit to a Big Five private game reserve, an elephant interaction and visiting the Kruger National Park.
The ‘Zulu Coast to Captivating Kruger’ tour is a seven-day Durban to Hoedspruit itinerary, including the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park, Swaziland, Mpumalanga and Northern Kruger National Park.
‘Namibia Etosha Highlights’ is a four-day trip beginning and ending in Windhoek; and the eight-day ‘Botswana & Caprivi Explorer’ travels from Maun to Victoria Falls, including the Okavango Delta, the Caprivi Strip and Chobe.
The 2016 Zimbabwe itinerary, ‘Majestic Victoria Falls’, will be a three-day trip to the Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe.

Kiboko’s fully serviced camping product
Kiboko Adventures, an overland operator in Southern Africa, will release a new fully serviced camping product in Botswana. The nine-day game-viewing itinerary runs from Maun to Kasane through Moremi, Savute and Chobe National Parks, staying in private campsites inside the park and travelling in open-sided 4x4 game-viewing vehicles.

Springbok Atlas unveils guided tours
Springbok Atlas Tours & Safaris will be launching its Guided Tours 2016, which feature a selection of new tours and destinations. They will also introduce an initiative to support rhino conservation through guided tours.
Springbok Atlas will also be distributing its new Accommodation Guide, a directory of key accommodation establishments across Southern Africa, used by agents and tour consultants as a reference document.

New horse-riding experience in Zanzibar
Sea Cliff Resort and Spa Zanzibar will introduce the trade to its new horse-riding offering. Rosa Stander, who is a qualified riding instructor of many years and manager of the stables at Sea Cliff Resort and Spa Zanzibar, will offer guests the opportunity to swim with horses at high tide. The property also offers horse riding on the beach and riding instruction on the north-west coast of Zanzibar.

Plett Tourism
Plett Tourism will unveil the Plett Wineland Trails, due to launch later this year. The ‘slackpacking’ offering is a new series of hiking and horse-riding trails through wine farms and wetlands in the region that combines wildlife viewing with wine tasting.

Kwandwe introduces culinary offering
Kwandwe’s Melton Manor, just outside Grahamstown in the Kwande Private Game Reserve, has introduced a three-day itinerary where guests spend time with the Kwandwe Executive Culinary Team learning about preparing and cooking authentic South African braais (barbecues) while having private use of the safari villa.

Stellenbosch 360
Stellenbosch 360 has launched two new activities that highlight cultural tourism in its local communities. Experience the Route 360 Kayamandi Township Tour and ‘Dine With Locals’.
The town will also embark on its second annual winter campaign in 2015, this year called ‘Reflect, Relax Stellenbosch’. As a winter winelands destination, Stellenbosch 360 is launching three tiers of value-added packages, ranging from budget-friendly to top-end stay-and-play experiences.
