Africa Albida Tourism has announced the appointment of Augustine Maungwe as Victoria Falls Safari Club Manager, with effect from September.
Augustine moved back to Zimbabwe from Pietermaritzburg where he was front of house guest relations manager at Karkloof Safari Spa. Maungwe has a BComm in Tourism Management from the Midrand Graduate Institute, where he started his studies afresh after the Gweru’s Midlands State University closed down. He had been about to enter his third year of study when the university closed down and he was to get his academic transcript.
Elizabeth Ochami-Muyia has joined Atua Enkop Africa, where she will head the sales and marekting department. Ochami-Muyia has previously worked at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts East Africa, HTT Global Holidays & Incentives and The Panari Hotel. “We are confident that she will be an invaluable asset in the Atua Enkop Africa Group,” the company said in a statement.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has appointed Adeline Ng as Vice President of Strategy for Asia, Middle East & Africa (AMEA). Jan Smits, CEO Asia, Middle East and Africa, IHG said: “Adeline joins us with a strong background in business analyses and strategic planning across a number of sectors and markets.
