This week two pictures have been chosen.
The first is from Switzerland and shows the South African flag projected on to the peak of the Matterhorn. This was part of a project run in Zermatt in southern Switzerland, during which flags of different countries were projected daily on to the mountain as a symbol of hope and solidarity for the world impacted by the COVID pandemic.
Similarly, in Dubai, the famous sky scraper the Burj Khalifa, was lit up with the South African flag on April 27 symbolising not only unity during the pandemic but also recognising the celebration of Freedom Day.
In addition to this global sense of unity, South Africa has been ranked 2nd in the world for reliable COVID-19 information by COVID Infodemics Observatory.
