Last week, we asked readers if they thought SA would benefit from hosting the Commonwealth Games. The majority, with 54%, said yes, it would grow tourism to SA in the short and long term. An equal number of voters, with 23% each, said yes but the benefits would be short term, and no, it would be detrimental to the industry in the long term.
