Johannesburg-based Go Touch Down Travel and Tours has two products on offer that will appeal to travellers with a leaning towards adventure.
High Adventure Tour
An eight-day High Adventure Tour, from Go Touch Down, is a dare-devil’s dream on the Garden Route. Adventurers can kick their adrenaline into high gear across the skies with skydiving and paragliding. Highlights are a bungee jump down Bloukrans Bridge in Tsitskamma, one of the world’s highest commercial bungee jump bridges, and abseiling down Kaaimans Gorge next to the waterfall to land in a canoe. There’s also an opportunity to come face to face with two of the world’s most dangerous animals with shark and crocodile cage diving.
Participants get to take on the largest sandboarding site in South Africa - Dragon Dune in Mossel Bay, and black water tube on the dark waters of Storms River. Guests will explore the Cango Caves and see some of the Big Five in a sunset safari. The tour does pause mid-way to allow for a relaxing beach day at Myoli, and a sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.
Shearwater on Sea in Sedgefield is home base in-between adventure days.
Safari tour
Using Dunkeld Country and Equestrian Estate as home base, this full-day tour of the Panorama Route explores the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Pot Holes, the Three Rondavels, God’s Window and Lisbon Waterfalls.
Guests enjoy lunch at Graskop before being inspired by The Elephant Interaction on the last day of the excursion, for an intimate understanding of these gentle giants. The day concludes with a festive farewell braai (barbeque) at the estate.
