Local and regional carrier CemAir has announced it will open a route between Johannesburg and East London.
The airline says it will commence direct, non-stop services from April 7.
The flights will depart from OR Tambo at 18h00 on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays, arriving in East London at 19h30. The aircraft will night-stop in East London.
The return flights will depart East London at 06h00, Monday to Friday, arriving in Johannesburg at 07h20.
The service will no doubt be much appreciated by the Eastern Cape business community with meetings in Johannesburg. It allows for the business traveller to conduct business in Gauteng for the entire day and then depart, without having to stay over.
