Robben Island Museum (RIM) has appointed Plankton Solutions as its official ticketing platform service provider, effective today (January 12).
Bookings can still be secured on Webtickets during this period for tours until January 15, but after that date tour tickets will only be available on Plankton. This change will not have an impact on tickets already purchased via Webtickets prior to the change of systems and these tickets will remain valid and will accepted upon boarding.
RIM, together with Plankton, will provide a step-by-step guide for refund and rescheduling processes, and also implement automated notifications in the event of tour cancellation.
Standard tariffs remain unchanged
COVID-19 had a negative impact on the economy, which led to a decline in domestic and international tourism as a result of travel restrictions. RIM was one of the attractions affected, with 65% of its visitors being international tourists.
Despite this, tariffs remain unchanged for now.
The following rates remain applicable:
- R400 (€23) for South African adults and R210 (€12) for South African children aged two to 18 years.
- R600 (€34) for non-South African adults and R310 (€18) for non-South African children aged two to 18 years.
