South African Airways has announced a “Fall into Savings” sale with fares from Washington DC and New York to Johannesburg starting at $999. 
Sale fares are also available at slightly higher levels from Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Los Angeles, Orlando, Phoenix, San Francisco and Seattle. These fares are available for purchase now through December 9, 2014 for travel between January 19, and March 10, 2015.
