The South African Youth Travel Confederation (SAYTC) will host its sixth annual conference from July 30 - August 1 at Ubuntu Kraal in Orlando West, Soweto.
Deborah Smook, National Co-ordinator for SAYTC said the conference provides attendees with an opportunity to learn from and exchange with stakeholders in the youth travel industry.
Stakeholders speaking at this year’s conference include SA Tourism, TripAdvisor, Expedia and Fair Trade Tourism. Environmental capitalist Jason Drew, speaker and entrepreneur Richard Mulholland and Food & Trees for Africa founder Jeunesse Parks will also speak at the conference.
“On the first day, we will focus on the general theme of the conference: making a sustainable difference in your community and environment, and what you as a business can do to make an impact,” said Smook. “Day two sees the focus shifting to marketing your business and making use of the various tools, programmes and forms of support that are provided to our developing sector.”
