Three international companies have been offered five-year contracts by the Tanzania Tourist Board to market Tanzania in Germany, the UK and the US: 707 Marketing; GmbH from Germany and Africa Oracle Company.
According to the deal, TTB will work with the companies to develop a marketing strategy that will see Tanzania receive more holidaymakers from Germany, the UK and the US.
Devota Mdachi, TTB MD, said the three firms had been awarded the contracts after meeting the marketing requirements expected to boost tourist numbers from the targeted markets.
“The companies are now required to work out the strategies and submit them to us by June this year ready for implementation,” she said.
The new deal comes at a time when TTB is intensifying marketing campaigns in both traditional and emerging markets as it aims to meet its target of three million international tourist arrivals by 2018.
