Thai Airways has announced that it will increase its flights between Johannesburg to Bangkok with the addition of a fourth flight on Fridays, starting April 1.
The airline told Tourism Update that the decision
came as a result of high demand on the route and that it expected an increase in the number of passengers.
“Thai is providing a total capacity of 4 964 seats per week and research has shown that the majority of passengers are more likely to travel on Fridays where two extra days are gained,” the airline said in a statement.
The additional flights will be operated with a B777-200ER with flights departing Johannesburg at 13h40, arriving in Bangkok the following day at 05h55. The return flight departs Bangkok at 01h15, arriving in Johannesburg on the same day at 07h30.
