The hospitality trade in Southern Africa has paid tribute to Keith Rissik, who died in Pretoria on Thursday, February 11.
At the time of his death, he was responsible for the operations of the David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa, in Livingstone, Zambia.

Rissik had a National Diploma in Hotel Management at the Witwatersrand Technikon and during his career he spent time with most of Southern Africa’s leading hotel operators, including Holiday Inn, Protea Hotels, Sun International, Cresta, Rani Africa, Three Cities and aha.
He was also involved in the planning and building of uShaka Marine World in Durban.
“Keith’s dedication and passion were his hallmark and his contribution to our operations in Zambia will be sorely missed,” said Steve McCormick, Chairman of the Board of David Livingstone Safari Lodge. “His mentorship and guidance to the staff at David Livingstone Safari Lodge have been such that we are confident that the lodge will continue to bear the fruits of his legacy for years to come.”
A funeral service was held for Keith on Thursday, February 18, at the Lynwood Catholic Church in Pretoria.
