Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg, the first property in the brand's portfolio in Southern Africa, has opened bookings for stays from December 1.
The Westcliff closed in June 2013 for a US$52 million (R573m) renovation.
There are five new dining outlets, a nine-treatment-room destination spa, lap pool and 117 newly decorated contemporary African-inspired rooms and suites.
Flames Restaurant offers an authentic South African braai (BBQ) experience and is all about the fun of informal dining under the management of executive chef, Dirk Gieselmann. As the hotel’s only all-day dining destination it is centrally situated and leads on to a wide terrace for alfresco dining with a view.
The hotel also features the following venues: View is the hotel’s signature restaurant and offers a contemporary seasonal dining menu; The Cellar Door is an intimate dining venue offering SA’s best wines, enhanced by shared plates of local cheeses, grilled meats and seafood; Après-Spa is a relaxed rooftop bar and lounge where visitors can have a drink before or after spa treatments; and The Westcliff Deli, which is the neighbourhood’s new street-side café.
Conceived as an urban resort, Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff is located between Sandton and the revitalised neighbourhoods of Johannesburg CBD. “This is a really exciting time in Jo’burg - you can feel the energy and excitement and we are thrilled to soon be establishing the first Four Seasons city hotel in Southern Africa, in such an ideal location,” says gm, Sebastien Carre.
