Fastjet, an African low-cost airline based in Zimbabwe, announced the launch of its ‘Amazing Zimbabwe’ marketing campaign last month, which focuses on promoting the hidden gems of the country.
“Our idea behind this campaign was to develop on our existing unique identity in a manner that resonates with customers, and tells the story of how amazing Zimbabwe is as a country. We have reason to be proud of what the nation offers to both local and overseas travellers, and we want to tell the world about it,” the airline told Tourism Update.
“The campaign is centred on four unique pillars synonymous with Zimbabwe’s rich traditions, splendid heritage, iconic sites, and great people.”
“The Amazing Zimbabwe campaign embodies the essence of Zimbabwe and our commitment to the continuous promotion of air connectivity in our beloved country. This campaign is tailored to showcase Zimbabwe’s great assets, including some of those that often may not get the attention they deserve. It will be a wide-reaching showcase of many a splendour,” said Nunurai Ndawana, spokesman of fastjet Zimbabwe.
The airline’s marketing plan focuses on the visuals that capture the vibrancy, beauty, and dynamism of Zimbabwe. “We are showcasing a variety of subjects, from picturesque landscapes to the cultural richness of the nation with colour and vibrant images,” the airline added.
Fastjet’s commercial team represent the company at many international and regional events, and this campaign will be incorporated into their engagements.
“It’s designed as a long-standing initiative so we remain focused on widening the reach on ‘Amazing Zimbabwe’ as weeks and months roll on,” the airline concluded.
