Nyuni Mountain Lodge in Zimbabwe's Masvingo province is undergoing a refurbishment that is set for completion by year end. The lodge remains open as the renovations are being implemented in phases.
GM of the lodge, Alysham Bere, says re-thatching has already been completed on some of the chalets.
Other work on the ten chalets and a guest house will include repainting and tiling, replacing the current ceilings with new ones and other general maintenance work.
The lodge also has two conferencing facilities that accommodate 30 and 70 people respectively.
Guests can visit Great Zimbabwe, enjoy nature walks, fishing and boat cruises on Lake Mutirikwi, hiking on Nyuni Mountain and village tours.
Masvingo province is also home to Gonarezhou National Park and Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve.
